Second floor sub-floor

Today was tricky because it looked like it could rain any moment, dark and ominous – but the guys were there ready to go. The order of the day was to lay in the second floor sub-flooring and glue & nail it down. They first started over the dining room.

By late morning, and still no rain, so they were able to complete the full second floor. This went quite a bit faster since there will be no floor over the living room. There will be a cathedral ceiling similar to our previous home, which extends up over the dining room and above the second floor loft.


By noon things were getting darker and darker, so the guys prepped for tomorrow by lifting all the building materials onto the second floor. When that was done, the rains came.
